There’s no denying that LA native, Ernie Halter, has chops.  He’s also got a big (warm and cuddly) personality, a lot of soul and a knack for creating new words (i.e. “fawesome”).  I got him on the phone for a quick WRHU interview around this time 2 years ago, and although some of our conversation is now a tad out of date (i.e. the tour and release of his ‘new’ album Congress Hotel – he’s since released Starting Over as well), a lot of his thoughts on various topics still provide for an interesting piece to read.  At least that’s what I think.  Why don’t you read it for yourself and let me know if I’m right.

  1. Holding the guitar on the right leg might be considered more of a folk or contemporary position. It is not usually as secure as the classical position because there are only 3 points of support: the leg, the chest, and the right forearm.
